Mathenson converts hard copies or existing soft copies — books, doc files, PageMaker files and other legacy document formats — into searchable PDF, EPUB or MOBI files, suited to reading on mobile phones, tablets and computers. For bound books, overhead or book scanners are used so the volume is captured without unbinding it, preserving the original. Content then passes through OCR and a dedicated, aggressive quality-check pass to keep the digitised text high-accuracy against the source.
